OG Shark Strain Review – Bonza Blog
While the name sounds like it’ll tear anyone to pieces, OG Shark is surprisingly a lighthearted strain that come to the aid of tokers in peril. Perhaps the only things it’ll take a bite out of are the anxieties weighing people down.
As such, those who feel like they’re drowning in an ocean of stress are immediately lifted up by this feel-good high. Rushes of silly and racy thoughts fill the mind to the brim with positivity. Moreover, a relaxing sensation allows the body to float in gentle motions rather than sink it to the couch.
Reaching such a well-balanced feat, it is unfortunate that its origins remain a mystery in the community. However, the heavy, euphoric gust of energy suggests this enigmatic hybrid may come from OG Kush, while it’s stress-hunting and aromatic addition tip-offs Great White Shark.
While this may be likely, hints of petrol and some tartness from blueberries also propose it has descended from the original Diesel and Blueberry genetics. All remain to be here says, but one thing is for sure: this beast-like strain replaces tales of horror with a whimsical experience, one that coaxes out the child inside everyone.

Odor and Flavors
Earthy at its core, this homey blend of sharp sea salt and blueberries toes the line between sweet and tangy. A mix of musk and wet rocks elicit scents from the boardwalk: ocean waves and salty air. However, hints of an odor similar to spilled-chemicals tie the whole profile together in its pungency.
The flavors are raw and sharp in nature, blended with a creamy cocktail of vanilla, salt and some subtle sweetness from blueberries. This makes up a smooth smoke that leaves a spicy bite upon exhaling, with an odd mixture of sour pine and gasoline on the aftertaste.

A strain that has monstrous THC levels of up to 25%, OG Shark is known to hunt down any negative vibrations lingering in users’ system. As it rids users of stress and any physical aches, the mind is allowed to wander off to a beach-like getaway.
The uplifting high also comes with crashing waves of energy, one that stimulates a child-like mindset. As such, a bowl of this ganja helps users escape their responsibilities – work, bills and other worries – affording users a chance for some adult playtime.
Despite this newfound vigor, this strain is still best toked at night due to the physical onslaught trailing after. As it catches up, users are gripped under its body-numbing jaws.
Its potency also adds to the strength of this body stone, although it leans more towards a relaxing buzz rather than a couch-locking effect. Users will soon be encompassed with a sense of calm, and anyone can relish their respite before drifting off to sleep.

Due to the potency of this strain, OG Shark’s powerful kick may be disorienting for many users. Those with a low tolerance to it should take it easy and start with low dosages to avoid spiraling down to its dizzying effects. On worst cases, users may even be susceptible to bouts of paranoia and anxiety attacks.
Other than that, giving into the impulse of excessive smoking can also encourage physical irritations such as cottonmouth and dry eyes. While the feeling of dehydration can never seem to be appeased, drinking lots of refreshments will still provide a welcoming relief to users. Of course, alcohol is not a part of that list.

Medical Use and Benefits
OG Shark isn’t the usual strain to go to for medical value, especially due to its lack of CBD concentrations. However, this doesn’t stop it from repelling any persisting ailments with high-speed blows.

Other than floating in a sense of tranquility, its positive stimulation also eases those suffering from fatigue. Moreover, its impressive potency promises an analgesic feature that is effecting in managing pains such as back spasms, migraines and arthritis.

Growing OG Shark
Due to the fact that its origins are unknown to date, OG Shark may come off as a challenge to many prospective growers. Veterans may be able to adjust to its pace and harvest successful yields if kept under a watchful eye.
Upon inspecting, this plant leans towards a Sativa structure with a height of 150 cm as well as thin leaves fanning out. In order to maximize its bud growth, growers should give lower levels of Nitrogen upon feeding. In addition, pruning the plants will allow it to stay low and spread in a lateral form.
On that note, growing it indoors take about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering time. However, its yield production is quite impressive as it delivers an average of about 500 grams per plant.
Meanwhile, taking it outdoors requires a warm and temperate climate in order for the plant to flourish by the middle to late October. Its yield delivers a humbler amount of 400 grams, which is still quite a satisfactory amount.
